seems like lately I gotta case of the springtime-
I dance to the birds singin, to the slow-motion-sounds of the buds bursting into green spring flags & I too flap in the fresh new winds, the sun-shinings oozing into my skin, smiling. can’t con-concentrate on nothing but feel-feeling good, seems like lately the only thing I’m good for is make-makin’ love & po-e-try. poem by Terra
Here we are! Spring is springing. The sun is lingering longer, giving us more light. We see the new growth popping up everywhere. So exciting. So inspiring.
Remembering the duality of this realm, that light, that excitement can also have a shadow. In our excitement sometimes we may overdo, over commit and finally lead to exhaustion.
Today I heard a podcast about this very phenomenon. You might like listening to it here on Spotify.
My life has been busy shifting from Ayurveda focus to Shamanic focus. And the Spring energy has brought many resolutions for improving my life. Then I had a mild stroke (Thankfully, I have no lasting problems from it). I’m now looking at my ambitions differently.
How to choose what to thin from my life for now and what to leave to grow is a weighty decision. And I also have my friend Death ever near, especially at age 72. So my body gave me the signal to determine more carefully my priorities.
What is your spring enthusiasm sparking in you? Can you thin so that what grows will be lush, nourishing, and as big as it’s meant to be?
Join our Living Shamanism Tribe to explore this and other topics in this realm and the Lower World.
Smiles,
